#WeAllGrow Summit is one of those conferences where you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. It’s a truly positive and enriching environment.
This was my second year attending, so being that I was no longer a #WeAllGrow virgin 🙂 I came with a different mindset, knowing what to expect.
I’ve always thought that one must attend conferences with an open heart and an open mind to let it all sink in. I believe in the power of words to clarify your vision and show you the way and often attend these kinds of events with a journalistic approach, waiting for that key phrase that will spark something in me. And when it comes to #WeAllGrow, with such a beautiful group of powerful, intelligent and creative women, those moments happened often, like fireworks several times in a day.
So there I was, with pen in hand or phone in hand ready to capture the words spoken at each of the sessions. These are my keepsakes from the summit. It’s what I brought home with me.
Here are my favorite quotes from #WeAllGrow. Feel free to take them away, pin them or tweet them. Regardless if you are a blogger or not, these words are sure to give you that little extra push you may need.
There’s 9 more months left of 2016 so we’re just getting started. May these words accompany all of us when we need them the most.
Taking your passion to the next level:
Here are some wise words from the powerhouse writer, blogger and overall digital entrepreneur extraordinaire Lorraine C. Ladish regarding tactics to grow your blog and/or brand.
The talented Heather Conneely, US Business Lead at Facebook, shared a phrase that I really loved, especially because we are always very hard on ourselves and as women we sometimes feel that we need to do 20 things at the same time and do them all perfectly. She said that ‘failure is key to success’ and that there’s a lot more to accomplish.
The wonderful Laura Fuentes from Momables.com also shared some great advice for those times when we get a ‘no’ as an answer.
Media entrepreneur Gaby Natale ended her #WeAllGrow Storytellers session with a powerful statement that really struck a chord in me.
And finally some words from the inspiring and powerful She Knows Media Chief Community Officer Elisa Camahort Page about owning your expertise and showcasing it.
Practical tips for the blogger + hustler in you:
When we put ourselves out there, be it through blogging, an entrepreneur project, or in anything else that we do we’re building our personal brand. It is important to do so because it opens doors and professional opportunities and there are tips and tricks to be more effective and get it done the right way. Here are a few that I really liked from the summit.
The wonderfully charismatic and hilariously honest TODAY show producer Alicia Ybarbo talked about taking that first step to open the door and ask for what you want.
Entertainment and lifestyle Journalist Rosy Cordero also mentioned something that I feel is key, especially when you venture out on your own.
And here are two more tips that may seem pretty basic, but are super important and can define the kind of impression you leave on others. These were shared during the session about brand collaborations.
#WeAllGrow also had the more intimate, tear-jerking moments, and this precisely is one of the things that differentiates this conference from others. It gets personal.
Here are some of my favorite quotes from the Storytellers and the Dove Speak Beautiful session.
And with this I leave you. One thing is for certain, all of these women, all of us who were there at the #WeAllGrow Summit, are striving to live our very best lives while sharing the good and the bad along the way to lift others up, inspire and empower them, because together we are stronger.
